Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Casts Vote, Urges Kurdistanis to Participate in "Consequential Election"
Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has cast his vote in the ongoing parliamentary elections, calling on all Kurdistanis to take part in what he described as a "consequential election." Following his vote, Barzani issued a statement on social media, encouraging citizens to support a party with a "proven track record of honesty and service."
"This is a consequential election," Barzani stated, emphasizing the importance of voter participation in determining the region’s political future. "I urge all Kurdistanis to cast their votes. I hope you elect the party with a proven track record of honesty and service," he added.
As voters across the Kurdistan Region head to the polls, with over 2.6 million eligible voters in four constituencies, Barzani’s message is seen as a rallying call to bolster turnout.
Barzani's leadership and the performance of his government in recent years have been key talking points during the campaign, as parties compete for the 100 parliamentary seats.
