Kurdistan Region PM Masrour Barzani Inaugurates SMC Syringe Production Factory
The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, officially inaugurated the SMC factory today, marking a significant step in enhancing local industry. The newly launched facility specializes in the production of medical syringes and aims to meet the growing demands of the region's healthcare sector.
During the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Barzani highlighted the importance of the factory as part of a broader effort to reduce dependence on imported medical supplies. He emphasized that the project will generate new job opportunities, helping to improve the quality of life for citizens and stimulate economic growth.
To date more than 4,500 new factories have been licensed, many of which are now beginning to open their doors.

He reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting and incentivizing investors by simplifying procedures, protecting local products, and exploring export opportunities to improve the trade balance between the Kurdistan Region and international markets.
The SMC factory is expected to play a key role in strengthening the region's healthcare infrastructure and advancing its industrial capabilities.
