KRG Implements 40-Meter Road Project in Halabja as Part of Ongoing Infrastructure Development

A new 40-meter road construction project in Halabja is underway, marking one of the hundreds of road projects initiated during the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). The road, located in front of the Halabja Emergency Hospital for forensic medicine, stretches 1,450 meters and is being financed through the provincial development budget.

"The Kurdistan Regional Government is overseeing the project as part of its commitment to developing infrastructure across the province," stated a government spokesperson.

The new road has been met with approval from residents, many of whom expressed their gratitude for the government's investment in the region. “When the prime minister comes to our city with a full hand, and projects are implemented in the neighborhoods and streets, it benefits everyone,” one resident commented.

This project is part of a larger effort by the KRG's ninth cabinet to enhance the infrastructure of Halabja province. Since the cabinet took office, 53 road construction projects have been completed in the area at a total cost of over 35 billion dinars.

The ongoing developments are seen as crucial for improving transportation, boosting the local economy, and enhancing the overall quality of life in the region.
