KDP Vice President Masrour Barzani Reaffirms Commitment to Coexistence and Community Rights in Kurdistan

Erbil, Kurdistan Region – Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) Vice President Masrour Barzani has emphasized the enduring importance of coexistence and the rights of diverse communities within the Kurdistan Region, reaffirming the party's commitment to fostering unity and protecting minority rights.

During a meeting with the Christian Alliance’s member parties, Barzani underscored that communities such as the Chaldeans, Assyrians, and Armenians are integral parts of Kurdistan’s fabric. “We all own this country together,” he stated, highlighting the shared responsibility among all groups in maintaining peace and harmony within the region.

Barzani praised the longstanding trust that the KDP has cultivated with diverse communities, particularly among Christians, noting that the party's leadership has consistently upheld principles of coexistence. “Thanks to the KDP, the principles of coexistence in Kurdistan will be strengthened, and the rights of communities will be protected,” he added.

The Christian Alliance expressed its gratitude to the KDP, acknowledging the party’s unwavering support for minority rights. The alliance commended President Masoud Barzani and the KDP’s continued defense against any attempts to undermine community protections.

This meeting further solidified the KDP’s role as a leading advocate for diversity and coexistence within the Kurdistan Region, a legacy that remains central to its leadership and governance.
