President Masoud Barzani Welcomes Wounded Peshmerga Veterans from Duhok
On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, President Masoud Barzani received several members of the Wounded Veterans Association, Duhok Branch, at the Salahaddin Resort. The group, consisting of Peshmerga veterans, walked from Duhok to Salahaddin, covering the distance in five days. They undertook this journey in honor of the seventh anniversary of the Kurdistan independence referendum.
Upon arrival, the veterans offered their congratulations to President Barzani, marking the historic occasion. The referendum, a pivotal event for the Kurdish people, holds deep national significance.
