French-Kurdistan Economic Forum Kicks Off in Paris

The French-Kurdistan Economic Forum officially began today in Paris, bringing together around 60 investors from various sectors in the Kurdistan Region, along with dozens of French investors.

The event, organized by the Investment Council of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), aims to strengthen and expand economic, political, and diplomatic ties between France and the Kurdistan Region. Burkesh Akriyi, spokesperson for the KRG’s Investment Council, told Kurdistan 24, "Paris and Erbil have a very strong relationship, and we are looking to translate that into the economic sphere."

The forum provides a platform to encourage French investors to explore business opportunities in Kurdistan. Akriyi emphasized that the KRG is ready to facilitate investments across various sectors, ensuring French investors receive the necessary support to enter the region's market.

Additionally, the KRG sees the forum as an opportunity to promote local Kurdish products in France, opening new avenues for trade and partnership between the two regions.

The French-Kurdistan Economic Forum is seen as a vital step toward deepening cooperation and fostering long-term economic partnerships.
