Fire Erupts at Russian Refinery Following Ukrainian Drone Strikes

A fire broke out at a refinery southeast of Moscow after a series of Ukrainian drone strikes, Russian media reported. The attacks also targeted a power plant on the southern edge of Moscow and another power plant in the Tver region, approximately 100 kilometers northeast of the capital.

The wave of strikes comes amid escalating tensions between Ukraine and Russia, with both sides intensifying their military actions. Ukrainian drones have increasingly targeted key infrastructure in Russia as the conflict drags on.

In a related development, Russian shelling in Ukraine's Sumy region resulted in the death of one person and injuries to four others, according to local authorities. The ongoing shelling in the region continues to take a toll on civilian lives, adding to the humanitarian crisis in the area.

Both incidents highlight the continued volatility of the conflict, with attacks occurring on both sides of the border, further complicating efforts to reach a peaceful resolution.
