Erbil-Gomespan Road to Be Repaved in Three-Month Project
The heavily trafficked Erbil-Gomespan road, which serves as a crucial link between Erbil and Koya, is set to undergo significant repairs. According to Emad Mohammed, Director of the Erbil Road Repair and Protection Directorate, the 15-kilometer stretch of road will be completely repaved in a three-phase project.
Three staff members from the Directorate are currently assigned to the project, which is expected to be completed within three months. The total cost of the renovation is estimated at 418 million Iraqi dinars.
The repaving of the Erbil-Gomespan road is anticipated to improve the safety and efficiency of travel for the many commuters and transport vehicles that use this route daily.
