Prominent Kurdish Leaders Celebrate the New Hijri Year 1446 AH with Messages of Peace and Solidarity

Erbil, Kurdistan Region: Prominent leaders in the Kurdistan Region have marked the beginning of the New Hijri Year 1446 AH and the first month of Muharram with heartfelt messages of goodwill to Muslims worldwide and hopes for lasting peace.

Kurdish leader Masoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP), extended warm congratulations to Muslims in Kurdistan, Iraq, and globally. In his address, Barzani expressed his wishes for happiness and prosperity, emphasizing the significance of this occasion in fostering mutual acceptance and cultivating peace and harmony throughout the Region.

President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, echoed these sentiments on the first day of Muharram, highlighting the importance of solidarity and tolerance among diverse religious and ethnic communities within Kurdistan and Iraq.
