Prime Minister Masrour Barzani Inaugurates Eagle Post Center in Erbil

In a landmark event today, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani inaugurated the Eagle Post company and center in Erbil, marking a significant step in the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) efforts to modernize and enhance transportation services, particularly postal services.

During the ceremony, Prime Minister Barzani emphasized the collaborative nature of the project, highlighting the joint efforts of both public and private sectors. He underscored its importance in the KRG’s broader agenda to improve and digitize services while reducing bureaucracy.

“This company and center will further connect the cities and regions of the Kurdistan Region with each other, as well as with other parts of Iraq and the world,” stated Prime Minister Barzani.

He noted that the new center is integral to the government's plans to modernize services, facilitate trade, and promote e-commerce, stressing the essential role of advanced postal and delivery services in easing the daily lives of citizens.

Prime Minister Barzani emphasized that the new postal services would alleviate burdens on both public and private sectors by reducing congestion and streamlining operations.

“The work of this company should be carried out in an advanced manner and system within the framework of international standards,” he asserted, highlighting the need for the service to provide necessary facilities and become a turning point in postal and transportation sectors.

He also addressed the need to modernize the address system in the Kurdistan Region, urging relevant parties to address this issue promptly.

Towards the end of his speech, Prime Minister Barzani extended his gratitude to the citizens, particularly salaried employees, for their resilience against efforts to undermine the Kurdistan Region’s status.

He reassured the audience that the government is actively working with the federal government to resolve budget and salary issues fundamentally.

“We hope that the full salary of the security forces for the month of April and the salaries of all our citizens for the month of May will be distributed soon before the holidays,” Prime Minister Barzani announced, expressing optimism that salary issues would no longer dominate media headlines.

Concluding his remarks, Prime Minister Barzani thanked the attendees and congratulated the citizens of the Kurdistan Region on this new achievement, signaling a promising future for the region’s postal and transportation services.
