In a significant crackdown on drug-related activities, security forces in the Kurdistan Region successfully arrested three drug dealers, including two individuals not originally from the region, during a coordinated operation in Erbil. The operation, conducted in the Sidakan district and downtown Erbil, resulted in the confiscation of approximately 25.8 kilograms of methamphetamine.
The Kurdistan Region's anti-narcotics agency, spearheading the mission, reported that the suspects were apprehended as part of the ongoing efforts to combat the proliferation of narcotics in the region. The arrested individuals are now facing prosecution for their involvement in drug-related activities.
The operation did not go without challenges, as one of the suspects resisted law enforcement during the arrest.
