Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the Aspen Security Conference in the US via video link, asserting that the bridge linking the Crimean peninsula to Russia was serving as a supply route for the ongoing war in the region.

He stated that the bridge, which had been recently fully reopened after being previously damaged in an attack, was now considered a military target due to its role in facilitating the transportation of ammunition and supplies to Russian invading forces in Crimea.

Zelenskyy emphasized that any target contributing to the perpetuation of war instead of promoting peace must be neutralized, highlighting the militarization of the Crimean peninsula as a concerning issue.
