Kurdistan PM Visits Peshmerga Forces in Prde to Commemorate Eid Al-Adha
Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Prime Minister Masrour Barzani visited Peshmerga forces in Prde on Friday to commemorate the occasion of Eid Al-Adha.
During the visit, PM Barzani expressed his gratitude to the Peshmerga forces for their resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering defense of the Kurdistan Region's assets and constitutional entity.
PM Barzani emphasized the Kurdistan Region's commitment to the constitution and bilateral agreements with the federal government, and stressed that they will persist in resolving pending issues while safeguarding their constitutional rights.
He also revealed his ongoing communication with Iraqi Prime Minister Muhammed Shia’ al-Sudani to address the pressing matter of land being taken from Kurdish and Turkomani farmers in the Kurdistani areas outside the KRG region.
PM Barzani confirmed that PM Al-Sudani has taken certain measures to address this issue, and reiterated the importance of implementing Article 140 of the Iraqi Constitution as the means to resolve this issue effectively.
In a tweet, PM Barzani said, "There is no place I would rather be during Eid al-Adha than among our brave Peshmerga on the front line in Prde."

The Peshmerga are the Kurdish military forces of the autonomous Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
