Kurdistan Region Leaders Condemn Burning of Holy Quran

The Kurdistan Region's presidency, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, and KDP President Masoud Barzani have all condemned the burning of the Holy Quran in Stockholm, Sweden.

In a statement, the Kurdistan Region's presidency said that the burning of the Quran is an "unacceptable act" that will "cause the spread of hatred and threaten coexistence and peace." The statement added that all religions and their followers should be respected and that "no one should be allowed to exploit freedom to disrespect the sacredness of religions."
