In response to the Federal Supreme Court's decision to reject the extension of the Kurdistan Region's legislative term, the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) has called on all political parties to collaborate and ensure the smooth organization of the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled later this year.

The KDP emphasizes the need for fair and transparent elections and urges the government and relevant institutions to take necessary measures to facilitate a successful electoral process.

Disputes have emerged between the KDP and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) regarding electoral constituencies and the allocation of seats to various ethnic and religious groups.
