Prime Minister Masrour Barzani of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) warmly welcomed Nashville Mayor John Cooper and his delegation on Tuesday, May 23. The delegation, comprising members of the city council and the chairman and members of the Sister Cities of Nashville Board, engaged in productive discussions aimed at fostering educational and cultural connections between the Kurdistan Region and the United States.

The meeting primarily focused on establishing a sister city relationship between Erbil and Nashville, with the aim of deepening cooperation and understanding between the two regions.
