Kurdistan Region Holds Conference to Promote Religious Coexistence and Unity

The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, in collaboration with the Didar Organization, organized a conference on Sunday, April 30, 2023, aimed at promoting unity and cooperation among religious communities in the Kurdistan region.

Researchers, experts, and representatives of religious communities from across Kurdistan attended the conference to discuss law number (5) of (2015) of the Kurdistan Parliament, with a focus on strengthening social and religious activities while preserving unity and solidarity in the region.

During the conference, Dr. Pashtiwan Sadiq, Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, gave a speech expressing his gratitude towards religious preachers who have played a significant role in maintaining unity and social peace in Kurdistan.

He stressed the importance of brotherhood, unity, joint work, and social peace among the communities of Kurdistan, highlighting that "Kurdistan is a beautiful example of coexistence in the region and the world."

The conference aimed to foster a sense of coexistence and deepen unity among the diverse religious communities in the Kurdistan region. It also emphasized the importance of avoiding violent discourse while promoting social and religious activities to maintain peace and harmony in the region.

The conference was a successful initiative in promoting religious coexistence and social peace, which are crucial elements for the overall development and prosperity of the Kurdistan region.
