On Tuesday, on the occasion of International Women's Day, President Nechirvan Barzani and Prime Minister Masrour Barzani sent messages to the women of Kurdistan and the world through their official Twitter accounts.

President Nechirvan Barzani issued a message on the occasion of International Women's Day, in which he said: "The eighth of May is a glorious victory for the struggles of women and freedom seekers for rights, justice and equality. A tribute to the victims of violence against women."

On the other hand, Prime Minister Barzani said in a tweet: "Protecting and empowering women is our common duty, and key to Kurdistan’s future."
