Under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Kurdistan Regional Government, the Industrial Development Forum will be held in Erbil.

"The main objective of the forum is to show the progress made by the Kurdistan Region in the field of industry and increase economic activities," Khoshawi Muhammad, supervisor of the Erbil Industrial Development Forum told Kurdistan 24 News Channel.

"The industrial sector that specializes in opening factories has an important role in local production. We now have good factories in the Kurdistan Region and their products are exported to several countries," he said.

“The ninth government of the Kurdistan Regional Government continues to emphasize the growth of local revenues that depend on oil revenues, and the industrial sector is one of the main sectors for the growth of local revenues and productivity,” said Muhammad Khoshawi.

He added, "We want to focus on the industrial sector and give more opportunities to Kurdistan's youth, and young people will not only look at [government] jobs and salaries."
