President Masoud Barzani, the president of Kurdistan Democratic Party, on Thursay praised the members of his party for running an excellent election campaign.

"I find it to be fitting to commend the party organisms of the KDP for running an excellent election campaign. It is my sincere hope that these elections will be held peacefully and its results will further strengthen the principles of partnership among the components of Iraq," president Barzani wrote on his Twitter account.

Barzani also hoped that the Iraqi parliamentary elections will be held in a calm and trouble-free manner, and that the results will be in the service of upholding the principles of partnership and the demands of the people, and that the real will of the Iraqi people will be realized.
