The Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received on Sunday Ms. Marie Paret, the new Head of the European Union Liaison Office in Kurdistan Region.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister congratulated the inauguration of the new Head of the European Union Liaison Office , wishing her success in her new mission.

The Prime Minister referred to the reforms of the ninth cabinet of the Kurdistan Regional Government in diversifying its sources of revenue, building a strong economic infrastructure, working to better serve its citizens, and implementing important and strategic projects in all regions of the Kurdistan Region without discrimination.

The Head of the European Union Liaison Office in the Kurdistan Region expressed the European Union's readiness to cooperate and coordinate with the Kurdistan Regional Government and develop comprehensive relations.

The Iraqi parliament elections, mechanisms for monitoring the electoral process, and relations between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government were another topic of the meeting.
