PM Barzani met with Turkish Trade Minister
On Sunday, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, received the Turkish Trade Minister, Mehmet Muş, and his accompanying delegation.
The prime minister later met with the Turkish Chamber of Commerce, which was composed of a number of Turkish businessmen and investors.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of developing relations and coordination with Turkey, which is an important neighbor of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq, and the region's gateway to Europe, the world, and the arrival of this large business delegation will further strengthen the strong ties between the Kurdistan Region and Turkey.
The Prime Minister stressed that the Kurdistan Region has always wanted to develop mutually beneficial relations with Turkey on the basis of mutual respect, common interests and good neighborliness.
The President highlighted the KRG's reforms and explained that the KRG attaches great importance to the investment process, and to this end, it provides all the necessary facilities for domestic and foreign investors and facilitates the process of investment and trade.
The Turkish Minister of Trade expressed his country's desire to develop relations with the Kurdistan Region at all levels, especially in the field of trade and investment. He aslo hoped that the level of trade and investment between Turkey and the Kurdistan Region would expand in the future.
