PM Barzani Approves Establishment of Three Centers for Treatment of Women with Chronic Illness
The Minister of Health stated that Masrour Barzani, the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, has approved the establishment of long-term care centers for women in the three provinces of Erbil, Dohuk and Sulaymaniyah, BasNews reported on Wednesday.
"With the consent of the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, three special centers have been set up to treat women with chronic diseases, and the centers will be reopened soon," Saman Barzinji, the Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government said.
"The importance of these social and psychological centers is that those with long-term illnesses should not be confused with those who do not have short-term illnesses and should not be treated in a normal place," the health minister said of the importance of the centers.
"A budget will be allocated to women with long-term illnesses who will remain in the shelters, be treated, and a number of psychiatric and social researchers will continue to advise them until they are treated," he added.
