President Barzani receives Indian ambassador to Iraq
On Sunday, President Masoud Barzani received the Indian Ambassador to Iraq, Prashant Pise, in Salahuddin.
During the meeting, which was attended by Subhash Chandra Kain, the Indian Consul in Erbil, the Indian ambassador to Iraq expressed his country's desire to develop relations with the Kurdistan Region, and wished to expand those relations, especially in the academic, medical and economic fields.
In the same meeting, the latest political changes in the region and the threats of terrorism to the security of the region and the world were highlighted.
The two sides also stressed that confronting terrorism needs an effort involving the various international parties.
As for the elections for the Iraqi parliament next October, it was another focus in the meeting, in which the two parties hoped that it would be a reason for positive change and the fulfillment of the demands of the Iraqi citizens.
