Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani received, on Thursday, the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Joint Task Force in Iraq and Syria, Brigadier General Richard Bell.

During the meeting, the latest developments in the war on terror and the changes in the situation in Iraq and Syria were discussed.

the Deputy Commanding General of the Combined Joint Task Force in Iraq and Syria conveyed his condolences to the Prime Minister for the two Peshmergas who were martyred yesterday in the Naqaba Valley of Nahle district of Akre district due to a bomb planted by the PKK.

He also reaffirmed his support for the Kurdistan Region and the Peshmerga forces in the fight against terrorism, especially in the desputed areas.

The Prime Minister thanked the cooperation and support of the coalition forces and stressed the importance of the functioning of the security coordination centers between the Peshmerga and the Iraqi Army for the stabilization of the situation in Iraq and the fight against terrorism.
