President Masoud Barzani received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Iraq, stressing the friendship and historical relations between the two countries.

On Sunday, in Salahuddin, President Masoud Barzani received Abdulaziz bin Khalid Al-Shamari, Saudi Ambassador to Iraq.

During the meeting, the Saudi ambassador to Iraq conveyed the greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Prince Muhammad bin Salman, the Khalifa of Saudi Arabia, to President Barzani.

The Saudi ambassador to Iraq stressed that the stability of the Kurdistan Region and Iraq is of great value to his country, and on his part, President Barzani thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and King Salman for their support for the people of Kurdistan in the war against ISIS terrorists.

The meeting also focused on the friendship and historical ties between the two countries and the development of relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Terrorist threats to the stability of the region were another pillar of the session.
