Macron will visit Kurdistan and meet President Barzani
French President Emmanuel Macron will visit the Kurdistan Region next Sunday and meet with President Barzani in Erbil.
Regarding the visit of the French President to the Kurdistan Region, Ali Dolameri, the representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in France announced to the official website of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, that French President Emmanuel Macron will pay an official visit to the Kurdistan Region on Sunday.
The representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in France said that Emmanuel Macron will meet during the visit with President Masoud Barzani, President of the Kurdistan Region, Nechirvan Barzani, and senior officials of the Kurdistan Regional Government.
It is expected that the French President will meet the families of martyrs, and after his meeting with senior officials in the Kurdistan Region, Macron will visit Mosul from Erbil and later meet with the Yazidi brothers.
Ali Dolameri pointed out that the visit of the French President to Kurdistan is a source of joy at a time when the Middle East is going through a very unpleasant stage, as many issues will be discussed during the visit, including the relations between Erbil and Baghdad and the historical relations between France and Kurdistan in all fields, including economics, diplomacy and enlightenment.
It is also expected to discuss the early elections in Iraq, especially the future of Iraq in general and the Kurdistan Region, as well as the French investment in the Kurdistan Region.
Macron will be the second French president to visit the Kurdistan Region after François Hollande, the former president of France.
