One Peshmerga wounded in PKK bomb blast
On Wednesday, a Peshmerga soldier was injured by an explosive device belonging to the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).
PKK militants planted an improvised explosive device at the Amedi border crossing on civilian and Peshmerga roads, detonated the bomb and wounded one of the Peshmerga.
The media center of the Ministry of Peshmerga revealed in a statement that PKK militants in the border district of Amidi set up, today, Wednesday, an explosive device through the passage of the Peshmerga and civilians in the area, which resulted in the detonation of an explosive device.
"This is not the first time that the PKK has committed such acts and continues to do so," said Sarbast Lezgin, a spokesman for the peshmerga minister.
"We want to inform the public and the people of Kurdistan that the PKK has repeatedly carried out these behaviors within the mission of the Peshmerga, creating a threat to the borders and the civilian population," he said.
