The Iranian Foreign Ministry confirmed on Monday, that the new Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is committed to working to lift the sanctions imposed against Iran, and at the same time called on the United States to stop dealing with the same mentality as former US President Donald Trump.

The Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh as saying "the United States should know that it will not be able to reach any result if it continues to deal with the mentality of former President Donald Trump. It must change this mentality and deal with the reality on the ground."

He added that "the policy of maximum pressure has failed, and Iran will not accept anything less than the nuclear agreement."

Regarding the Vienna talks on reviving the nuclear agreement between Iran and the great powers, the spokesman stressed "Iran has not left the Vienna talks, but the transfer of power in Tehran requires changes in the negotiating team."
