Iraqi Forum list withdraws from elections
The Iraqi Forum list of the leader of the National Front, Ayad Allawi, withdrew from the early electoral race.
The party said in a statement that expectations indicate that the percentage of public participation in the elections will be very low, and accordingly this electoral process will produce an inefficient parliamentary cycle and a weak government.
The party called on all parties, blocs and political parties to take the same stance by boycotting the elections so as not to be a party to a corrupt process, according to the statement.
Recently both Moqtada al Sadr, the Iraqi Communist Party, and Saleh al-Mutlaq have pulled out of the coming elections.
