Washington Includes Turkey in US list of countries involved in child recruitment

The United States of America announced, on Tuesday, the inclusion of Turkey on the US list of countries involved in child recruitment, due to the Turkish government's relationship with the "Sultan Murad" armed faction in Syria.

In a statement by its State Department, America revealed a report called "2021 Trafficking in Persons Report ", which stated that Turkey was included among the countries involved in recruiting children to fight, and this is the first time that Washington has taken steps against a NATO country.

In its report on the recruitment of children to fight, the US State Department confirmed that Turkey provides great support to the Sultan Murad faction that is fighting in Syria, an opposition and armed faction that has long-standing support from Ankara and uses children as fighters.
