Erdogan, for his part, said that he had "very frank and fruitful" talks with Biden, adding at a press conference after the meeting that "there is no problem in the relations between Turkey and the United States that cannot be overcome."
He explained that he "had extensive talks with Biden", and assured him "the need to revive the mechanisms of joint dialogue", while "joint efforts on regional issues" were discussed.
Erdogan stressed that he "has many years of friendship with US President" Biden.
The Turkish president had said, upon his departure from Turkey, that he and Biden should take advantage of Monday's meeting "to move from the previous problem stage."
