Washington Post: Russia will give Iran a satellite

The Washington Post reports that Russia is giving Iran an advanced satellite, so it can defend itself and be aware of all military bases across the Middle East.

The newspaper wrote that the satellite is a Russian type, Canopus, and has a highly advanced camera that can be launched in Russia within a few months.

A few days ago, a report was released that US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin may meet in Geneva at a time when Iran and the United States are engaged in indirect talks, in order to revive the 2015 agreement between the two countries. The goal is to impose sanctions on Iran's nuclear program in exchange for the easing of economic sanctions on Iran.

The Washington Post, citing unnamed sources, said that the satellite will help Iran monitor oil fields in the Gulf, as well as other Israeli and Iraqi military bases.
