Kurdistan Regional Prime Minister Masrour Barzani met with the delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Baghdad on Tuesday.

The meeting focused on the process of negotiations between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government regarding the implementation of the Federal Budget Law 2021, and summarized the results of the delegation's recent visit to Baghdad.

The delegates reviewed the results of their meetings regarding the implementation of the region's commitments within the framework of oil and non-oil revenues, which agreed in meetings with the concerned ministries in the federal government to implement the law enforcement mechanism.

It is noteworthy that both the federal and regional financial oversight bodies have agreed on a common mechanism to carry out their tasks as stipulated in the budget law according to their specifications, and therefore there will be no excuse for the Federal Ministry of Finance not to do so.

The meeting stressed that the region must abide by the budget law, and that the federal government should spend the region's rights and financial benefits.
