The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, on Tuesday received a high-level delegation from the Sadr Movement, led by Dr. Nasser Al-Rubaie.

The meeting discussed the situation in Iraq and the relationship between the Kurdistan Region and the federal government, especially the upcoming Iraqi parliamentary elections and the need to pave the way for a clean and fair election that guarantees the rights and aspirations of all constituents.

Elsewhere in the meeting, the importance of resolving outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan Region was discussed on the basis of the constitution, respect for the principles of balance, and real participation in governing and decision-making within a federal and democratic Iraq.
