KRG Records 325 COVID-19 Cases
ERBIL - The Kurdistan Region's Health Ministry said on Tuesday that it had recorded 325 new cases of COVID-19 within the previous day.

This came after 6,952 suspects took the test for the coronavirus within the past 24 hours, the ministry said in a statement, noting that only one person died on Tuesday.

There were also 171 new recoveries, according to the statement.

The new reports take the coronavirus tally in the Kurdistan Region to 111,181 since last March, out if which 104,773 people have recovered while 3,542 others died with 2,866 cases remaining active.

The COVID-19 situation in the region has begun deteriorating lately. The KRG has already received the first shipment of China's COVID-19 vaccines.

The health minister said earlier on Monday that the Kurdistan Region will receive more vaccines in the near future.
