ERBIL — The portion of COVID-19 vaccines allocated for Duhok province of Kurdistan Region was received on Saturday and the first healthcare worker was vaccinated.

Afrasyab Mousa, General Director of Health Department of Duhok, told reporters that the top priorities for vaccination now are health workers who serve on the forefront of the battle against the pandemic.

After health workers, according to Mousa, the senior citizens over 50 will be vaccinated.

Kurdistan Region earlier this week received 5,000 doses of the Chinese-made COVID-19 vaccine, from which 960 were dedicated to Duhok.
