ERBIL — Iraq’s Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein on Saturday arrived in Tehran for a series of meetings with Iranian officials, including his counterpart Mohammed Javad Zarif.

Iraq’s Foreign Ministry said the visit is for discussions on bilateral ties and regional developments, without providing details.

Iranian news agencies said Hussein will also meet with top military officials while in Tehran.

This is Hussein’s second visit to Tehran in the past month.

The Iraqi top diplomat met with his Saudi counterpart earlier this week, as well as other Arab leaders in the region.
