The Kurdistan Students' Union, as a student organization, has reached the ground of organizational work in the region in general and Kurdistan, in particular. The union has been able to be recognized as a real representative of Kurdistan's students and provides an equal environment for the voice and color of Kurdistan students.

From this point of view, going through the history of KSU would show us, all the facts that can be seen by any Kurdish and foreign individual. On February 18, we are going to light up the candle of 68 years of age as the mother and leader organization.

Once again, this ceremony alleviates us to be continuous in fulfilling the slogans of knowledge, revolution, and invention for the sake of goals set by our national leader, General Mustafa Barzani, who decided to establish the Kurdistan Student Union in 1953.

What is very essential to demonstrate in KSU is the renewal and continuity that is being created in this organization, which finds itself holding congresses and conferences. This method is being renewed every two or three years, which can be a turning point of KSU to other organizations in Kurdistan in general, due to the force that the organization believes in it. Renewal means being better in the organization’s agenda. This comes from the point of view that with any progress, changes and developments in the region comes along for all. They need to see theoretical and practical changes.

The Kurdistan Student Union has not only held congresses and conferences during the city's revolution. If we look at the history of the congresses and conferences of the Kurdistan Student Union, we will see that out of the 14 congresses, 5, 6, and 7 were held during the mountain revolution before the uprising of 1991 in different parts of Kurdistan. This means that this organization believes in democracy. It is expected that all the talented members of this organization should participate in leading their organization.

Meanwhile, if we look at the results of all the congresses and conferences, we will see that every time a group of talented students has been trained to take over this path and completed their service within this organization, they will become a political, intellectual, and servant for their society and homeland. After that, they become experienced and proud members of the Kurdistan Students' Union, and the reason for this education is because of General Mustafa Barzani's beliefs and the way President Masoud Barzani worked. To make all of the students well-educated and serve the homeland in general and their students, in particular.

Today, our steps are directed towards science, revolution, and determination to lead our union. We wish that we will be able to nurture another class of talented students and present them to our country. The KSU has now taken on another class of intelligent and experienced students to further develop the continuous revolution of the KSU.

Finally, warm congratulations on February 18, the Anniversary of the Kurdistan Student Union. Peace and Greetings to the souls of martyrs from the Kurdistan Students' Union movement, general Mustafa Barzani, the founder of the Kurdistan Students' Union, and Kak Idris, who is unforgettable. We pay our respects to the honorable martyrs of Kurdistan and the martyrs of the KSU as well as the martyr Franco Hariri, the friend of students.
