ERBIL — The French government has banned Iran’s Mahan Air on the basis of airliner’s involvement in instability in the Middle East.

“Mahan Air can no longer serve French territory as of April 1,” Reuters quoted a source from French Foreign Ministry on Monday.

Mahan Air is accused of transporting military equipment and personnel between Iran, Syria and other war zones in the Middle East.

The airliner has already been banned by Germany on the same grounds.
