ALGIERS (Reuters) - A new Algerian constitution will be submitted to a national referendum, the presidency said on Monday.

The presidency also said that President Abdelaziz Bouteflika had held a meeting with the army chief of staff after announcing that he would not run for a fifth term and postponing the presidential election which was due to take place in April.
