ERBIL - Chancellor of Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC), Masrour Barzani, welcomed on Thursday the Chairman of Iraqi al-Mada Foundation for Media, Culture and Arts, Fakhri Karim, and held discussions on the political affairs in the region.

The two officials underlined the current efforts being made to establish the next cabinet in Erbil, hoping the process will be expedited to better serve the people of the Kurdistan Region, a statement by Barzani's office said.

Chancellor Barzani and the Iraqi official stressed the significance of the political parties to enter a new chapter of their relations to help the establishment of the new government, the statement added.

They further pointed out that the priority for the future Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) is to do reforms and reorganize the governmental institutions in a way that will better serve the public.
