Yezidi Mother, Two Children Liberated from IS Captivity
ERBIL - A Yezidi mother with two of her children were liberated on Tuesday from the Islamic State (IS) captivity in Syria, Kurdistan Region's Special Office for Yezidi Abductees Affairs said.

Hussein Qaidi, head of the office, said in a statement that the woman, identified as Mahdiya Bashar Hassan, 25, and her two daughters, Mina Marwan and Mari Marwan, had been abducted by the militants since mid-2014 from the village of Hardani in northern Sinjar.

Qaidi noted that the three civilians will soon reunite with their family members in Kurdistan Region.

He added that the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) will spare no efforts to rescue the rest of the Yezidi abductees until every one of them is freed.
