Two Kurdish Porters Freeze to Death in Iran
ERBIL — Two other Kurdish porters were killed after losing the path on the mountainous border areas between Iranian Kurdistan and Kurdistan Region, a monitoring group confirmed.

The two men lost their way after being chased by Iranian border guards near Bana district of Kurdistan province, and then were found frozen in the cold weather, according to Hangaw Organization for Human Rights.

Another man is still missing, the Kurdish human rights watchdog said.

The same report also confirmed that Iranian border guards opened fired at another group of porters in the region on Monday, and injured at least two.

They are currently receiving treatments at a local hospital in Bana.
