Barzani Condoles with Yezidis on Passing of Prince Tahsin Beg
ERBIL — Former president of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani sent condolences to the people of Kurdistan Region and Yezidis around the world on the passing of Yezidi leader Prince Mir Tahsin Beg.

“My deepest condolences to the people of Kurdistan in general and the Yezidi community in particular for the loss of Prince Tahseen Said Ali Beg today,” Barzani wrote on his Twitter feed on Monday.

In an official condolence message, Barzani pointed out that Beg’s passing is a loss to the people of Kurdistan and Yezidis in particular, and that he hopes a deserving figure supported by the Yezidis will replace Mir Tahsin Beg.

The Yezidi leader passed away on Monday at the age of 86 in Germany.
