Baghdad Authorities in Kirkuk Orders Kurdish Families to Evacuate
ERBIL - The Baghdad-appointed administration in the disputed Kirkuk province has ordered a number of Kurdish families to evacuate their homes in the city.

According to the information obtained by BasNews, tens of Kurdish families have been notified by the authorities to leave their houses in the neighborhood of Arafa in Kirkuk in the near future, while they bought the properties from the government some 15 years ago.

Meanwhile, Kamil Sallayi, head of a local administration in the area, told BasNews that the Baghdad appointed administration has intensified its efforts to oust the Kurds from the city, noting that this has started since October, 2017, when the Iraqi forces overran the disputed Kurdish territories.
