Halabja`s massacre to be exhibited in Mexico
The deputy chief of Mexico`s asylum seekers, Hana Jaf, has arrived in Halabja on Sunday to discuss the opening of a special section devoted for Halabja`s massacre at Mexico International Museum.

Jaf was received by Arkan Hassan, Halabja district officer, Khdr Karim, head of municipality, Aras Abid, head of Halabja Victims Group, and Sarkhel Ghaffar, Halabja Monument director.

During her meeting with Halabja`s officials, Jaf announced that the Mexican government has approved of her request to open a section dedicated to Halabja`s massacre in the country`s international museum after three turn downs.

“Mexico is opening a special museum dedicated to world genocides and we did our best to acquire a section to show Halabja`s massacre to the world in that museum,” Jaf told PUKmedia.

For this reason, Jaf asked for Halabja officials` help in this project and, on their side, the administration gladly welcomed her efforts and pledged full support for the project.

“We hope that the project will be adopted by other countries as well when the massacre is exhibited which will pave the way to recognize the case as genocide,” Jaf added.
