The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has expressed its approval of a recent decision by Federal Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani to declare August 3rd as a national day of remembrance for Yazidi victims and all victims of genocide.

In a statement released today, Peshawa Horamani, spokesperson for the KRG, praised the Prime Minister's decision, emphasizing its importance in acknowledging the suffering of the Yazidi community and other victims of genocide. The statement read, "The Kurdistan Regional Government welcomes the decision of Federal Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani to designate August 3rd of each year as a day to honor Yazidi victims and all victims of genocide."
