Erbil, Kurdistan Region (GOV.KRD) - The Ministry of Electricity is pleased to announce the launch of a pilot project today to provide 24/7 national electricity to part of the Shadi neighborhood, located in the southwest of Erbil city center.

Due to the experimental nature of the pilot project, we have collaborated with the neighborhood generators to reduce potential electricity disruptions in the area.

Residents and businesses will receive a single bill based on their monthly consumption and be updated by SMS on a regular basis, making it possible for them to track and manage their consumption responsibly.

This pilot project will enable the government to better understand the requirements necessary to roll-out 24/7 electricity in the most efficient and effective way possible throughout the Kurdistan Region.
