KDP to suggest Confederalism as a solution to overcome conflicts in Iraq
Kurdistan Democratic Party is thinking about Confederalism as best solutions to overcome the current differences and conflicts among Kurds, Shiites and Sunnis, Bas Newspaper reported today.


As Erbil-Baghdad pending issues remain unsolved, KDP is reportedly wants to suggest Confederalism as a new mechanism of power sharing.

According to the report, federalism is widely believed as a failed system of power sharing that did not work for Iraqi’s Shiites, Sunnis and Kurds.

Confederalism is defined as a union of states in which each member state retains some independent control over internal and external affairs.
